A few of the keywords, topics, search terms, and items that have recently been attracting some Internet buzz:
- ethan bortnick (Google Trends) — According to his website, “Ethan Bortnick is a 6 Year Old Pianist and currently knows over 200 songs by memory, including pieces from Beethoven, Bach and Mozart.” Coincidentally enough, I just heard him interviewed by Scott Simon this morning on NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday. - picower foundation (Google Trends) — According to a New York Times story yesterday, the Picower Foundation, one of the nation’s leading philanthropies, announced on Friday that it was shutting down. The Times goes on to explain that the foundation’s assets were managed by Bernard Madoff.
- rca dome implosion (Google Trends) — As the AP reports, the RCA Dome, former home of the Indianapolis Colts, was imploded this morning just after 9:30 a.m. As of this writing, there are a few YouTube clips of the event, including a couple of home videos of WTHR‘s coverage.
- Shorty Award (Twitter) — According to their website, “The Shorty Awards honor the world’s top Twitterers. You can nominate as many people for as many categories as you’d like until midnight December 31st.”
