Cannon from the Spanish American War in Kenosha, Wisconsin's Eichelman Park on Lake Michigan

Spanish-American War cannon, Kenosha

Kenosha, Wisconsin —  This M1898 7-inch Siege Howitzer cannon was built for coastal use in the Spanish-American War (1898) and actually used in World War I. It was placed in Eichelman Park in 1920, and points out toward Lake Michigan.

A 1939 photo of the same cannon can be found in the University of Wisconsin Digital Collections.
