Several notable items flowing through Twitter this morning:
- With their North American tour beginning tonight in West Palm Beach, Florida, Coldplay is giving away their live album LeftRightLeftRightLeft via a free download here. (Thanks, @eileenski49, for that tip.)
- Via Milwaukee Journal Sentinel TV & radio columnist Tim Cuprisin (Twitter: @Cuprisin) comes a link to Jane Matenaer’s goodbye from 99.1 WMYX after nearly 25 years in Milwaukee morning radio. As Tim tweets, “Everybody in radio’s vulnerable right now… Except, maybe, Mark Belling.” You can still find Jane on Facebook.Update: Tim Cuprisin has more details in his “Inside TV & Radio” column.
- Tech journalist Leo Laporte (Twitter: @LeoLaporte) tweets a link to his Tumblr post of a photo Charlie Gower saw via Adam Crowe, who saw it at InfoMarketingBlog. It’s an August, 1935 item from Modern Mechanix entitled “Robot Messenger Displays Person-to-Person Notes In Public.” And, as halwebguy comments, “This was way better than Twitter. It had a revenue model!”
- Finally, @eatwisconsin (Twitter channel of the delightful EatWisconsin.com food blog), sends a link to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story, “Wisconsin’s morel hunters seek a taste of the wild.” In this article, we learn about the 27th Annual Morel Mushroom Festival that’s going on this weekend in Muscoda, Wisconsin, and we start to scheme and consult Google Maps.
