Mule-Hide roofing and shingles sign, Wilton, Wisconsin

Wilton, Wisconsin — Sign for Mule-Hide roofing and shingles on the door of the old lumber yard in the 700 block of Main Street.

The sign boasts that Mule-Hide is “stronger and lasts longer,” and that there’s “not a kick in a million feet.”

Wilton Sash & Door Co. installed a new garage door in July 2011 but saved the old sign.

The building is just north of the Elroy-Sparta Trail.
