Video: Pierogi making and Petrifying Springs

The last treatment of chemo really affected my digestive tract and I think I finally got my system working the way it should. My next treatment is the last of A/C, then I move onto the 12 weeks of Taxol. I am excited to be done with the A/C and ready to move forward.

This week I was in contact with more people than I have been recently. That really felt good. A week ago Saturday, I spent the day with Mark’s mom and sister Karen making pierogies for our Christmas Eve dinner. We always make a huge batch and freeze them until the holiday, it’s part of our Polish tradition.

Saturday was one of the best days that I have had in a very long time. We were able to meet up with my sisters and our great nieces Nadine and Zoey at Petrifying Springs Park. For the past two years, I have been babysitting for Nadine and Zoey on Tuesdays. Since starting chemo I haven’t been able to do that. It has been a month and a half since I spent any time with them. We had a great time playing frisbee and hiking through the woods, laughing and trying on wigs. I feel so sad when I don’t get to be with them. They change so fast and I hate to miss out on anything they do.

Jodi – It’s so good to hear from you two. Yeah I thought it was funny how I just got done showing Bill a few little scars on my head related to a time Jeff and Tommy Burke and I were digging to China. Bill then goes to the store and who does he run into but you and Jeff. Ah what great memories. LOL….

    Amy,

I have been following your progress and am very excited for you that you are seeing improvement in your fight to beat this. I keep my mom posted on your latest updates since they don’t do the technology thing. Keep up the great progress and thanks so much for sharing.

Steve – Thanks for following along with me. I think it’s great to be able to share my progress with family & friends who live near or far. Isn’t technology great!

I have talked to your mom a couple of times and will reach out to her again this week.

I bet you will love this, we had our first snowfall yesterday! :(

      Take care.
