Ronald Reagan house side yard, Dixon, Illinois
Dixon, Illinois — President Ronald Reagan spent hours during his boyhood playing football with his brother Neil and their friends in this yard on the north side of the Reagan family’s 2-story, Queen Anne-style house at 816 S. Hennepin Ave.
Reagan’s parents, Jack and Nelle, moved to Dixon in 1920 when Ronald was 9 years old. In the early 1980s, after Reagan became president, the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home was restored to its 1920 condition.
