Ronald Reagan boyhood bedroom, Dixon, Illinois
Dixon, Illinois — Boys’ bedroom at the boyhood home of President Ronald Reagan. Neil Reagan and his younger brother Ronald shared the smallest bedroom in this house at 816 S. Hennepin Avenue from late 1920, when Ronald was 9 years old, until 1923. In addition to their parents’ bedroom, a third bedroom in the house was used as a sewing workroom by their mother Nelle.
None of the home’s furnishings are original, but instead, they are period-appropriate pieces selected during the home’s $10 million restoration between 1980 and 1984.
