Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii — Antique scrimshaw whale tooth artwork depicting “The Sailor Boy” (artifact # 1921.014.050 at Honolulu’s Bernice P. Bishop Museum) by an unknown artist from the mid-19th century. Below the etched art on the sperm whale tooth, the inscription quotes Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage:  

The Sailor Boy.

Though the strained mast should quiver as a reed,
And the rent canvas fluttering strew the gale,
Still must I on ….. Byron.
