Keith Olbermann’s segments on Glenn Beck’s Rockefeller Center lunacy the past two nights have been hysterical. Do not miss these:
The clip above is from Thursday night’s installment of Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. In it, Keith analyzes Glenn Beck’s analysis Wednesday night on Fox News of assorted “progressive” or “communist” or “fascist” propaganda symbols supposedly hidden in various pieces of art in and around New York’s Rockefeller Center.
But wait — there’s more!
Friday night, Keith Olbermann topped even that outstanding performance with this one, pointing out just how “progressive” the Rockefellers were, among other things, before spinning out into a joyous and triumphant celebration of random raving that will make you laugh, cry, and wet your pants all at once.
Updates: Jon Stewart parodies Glenn Beck
On the November 5 installment of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Jon Stewart satirized the Glenn Beck show (yes, Christopher Hitchens, this is satire) by putting forward a makeshift conspiracy theory regarding Beck’s appendicitis and subsequent appendectomy.
The “11/3 Project” segment above is “brilliant, dark, stunning” and, Mark Karlin also notes, a tour de force that Stewart nailed.
Then, on March 18, 2010, Jon Stewart unleashed perhaps the most hilarious Daily Show segment ever, “Conservative Libertarian,” a parody of Glenn Beck which, in Daniel Kurtzman’s words, “achieved the near-impossible: out-crazying Glenn Beck.”
