Kenosha: Holiday Inn Express on the harbor

Kenosha, Wisconsin — The Holiday Inn Express (now the Best Western Harborside Inn & Kenosha Conference Center) at the west end of Kenosha’s harbor.

The dramatic lighting in this photo is completely natural. Dark rain clouds had just passed over, followed by some clearing and these lower, lighter clouds. Facing north here, the sun is setting to the left in the west. It’s far out of the frame, but still brightly illuminating that side of this particular cloud, which is also reflected in the harbor.
